Packaging Operator II

Operates an automatic machine to package a variety of products according to customer specifications.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reviews work orders to determine packaging requirements.
• Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
• Loads product into packaging machines, monitors machines for proper function.
• Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
• Sets up/changes over equipment for corresponding orders.
• Performs basic equipment maintenance including inspections, cleaning, lubing as needed.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Packaging - Hand: Fast-paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. May participate in HCP. Physical Demands: Packaging - Hand: Light, lifting up to 50 lbs.
