As our organization continues to grow, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Billing Clerk to join our Accounting team.Job DescriptionThe Automotive Billing Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, billing, and posting of new and used vehicle sales. This position ensures that vehicle deals are properly documented, all funds are received and accounted for, and transactions are accurately recorded in the dealership's accounting system.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and financial documents, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and bill all new and used vehicle deals accurately and in a timely mannerPost completed vehicle deals and related transactions into the dealership accounting systemReceive, receipt, and accurately account for all monies received from new and used vehicle salesReview deal jackets for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation and signaturesVerify VINs, customer information, vehicle information, pricing, taxes, fees, trade-in information, and other deal detailsIdentify and resolve missing information, discrepancies, and accounting errors prior to finalizing dealsMaintain accurate accounting records for vehicle sales, gross profits, receivables, and vehicle inventoryProcess payoff checks for trade-in vehicles and ensure payments are sent to the appropriate financial institution in a timely mannerProcess dealer trades both in and out of the dealership and ensure all related documentation is accurateMaintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and deal statusPrepare and maintain salesperson commission reportsMonitor and maintain lists of commissions on hold and assist with resolving outstanding itemsReconcile deal-related transactions and assist with identifying discrepancies between sales and accounting recordsRoute paid and completed deals to the Tag and Title Clerk promptly once funds are received in-houseMaintain organized files and ensure completed deals are properly documented and retainedCommunicate with Sales, Finance, Title, Accounting, management, and other departments to resolve deal-related issuesProvide administrative and accounting support to management and other departments as neededMaintain confidentiality of customer, financial, and dealership informationPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorThe Hanania AdvantageCompetitive compensationMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company participationPaid time off and holidaysEmployee vehicle purchase programOpportunities for growth and advancement within the Hanania Automotive GroupSupportive, team-oriented culture with long-term career potentialQualifications & RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDBasic working knowledge of accountingIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsStrong mathematical and organizational skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyValid Driver's License with a clean driving recordStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentPrevious automotive dealership or billing experience preferredEnthusiasm for the automotive dealership industryMust be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)Equal Opportunity EmployerHanania Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
