Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in a Level II children's hospital with a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing respiratory support for neonatal and pediatric patients, including managing vents, trachs, g-tubes, NG/OG feeds, NCPAP, UAC/UVC lines, PICC lines, medication administration, and care planning. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and experience caring for high-risk and surgical pediatric patients.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM or 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/16/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington state license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), minimum of 2 years of experience working in Level III-IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units, experience with respiratory support for vents, trachs (highly preferred but not required), G-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, medication administration, and care plans.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for surgical patients and those with Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
• Additional Information: The NICU is part of a Pediatric Hospital attached to an adult hospital, offering private rooms and an overflow nursery for feeders/growers. Float coverage may occasionally include emergency room sitters, though rarely. Note that block scheduling is possible but not guaranteed.
