Psychiatry And Behavioral Sciences Faculty Position

Louis Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, is seeking qualified candidates to join its distinguished faculty team. This is a great opportunity to join a state-of-the-art Behavioral Sciences Campus with 2 psychiatric hospitals serving 500 beds total, and 29 clinics throughout the local Houston area. Located in the heart of the nation's largest medical center, we have a vigorous research enterprise and multiple educational programs, including a large residency program, a child and adolescent fellowship, psychology internships, and more. Our robust collegial atmosphere fosters collaboration and teamwork! The position would assist in providing exceptional teaching and supervisory opportunities to residents and medical students as a key training site for the McGovern Medical School and our NEW School of Behavioral Health Sciences.

The Faculty will serve as an outpatient attending for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, with assignment to the UT Physicians Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic-BBSB. The selected candidate will provide direct patient care, teaching, and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, and will contribute to the Department's missions of education, research, and patient care.

Qualifications:

M.D. or equivalent degree. Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Texas. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry. Experience or interest in research and/or education is preferred.

Depending upon the applicant's qualifications and credentials, a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank will be offered.
