About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Pediatric experience preferred Description: 123-bed facility. Trauma level III. No NICU level. Primary Stroke Center. Facility caters to emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics. Chest Pain, Abdominal Pain, Stroke, and Neuro patients are common. Experience with air transport of AMI patients required. Average of 2 Psych patients per week. Patient Ratios: Nurse - 1:4 during the day, 1:5 at night. Tech Ratio: 1:10. Knowledge and experience in triage, assisting with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, and use of restraints are essential. Experience with blood products and mass transfusion is required. Familiarity with stroke protocols and trauma activations/care needed. Cardiac STEMI experience is a plus. Support on the unit includes techs, charge nurses, and 24/7 resource availability. Phlebotomy assistance required as needed. Familiarity with electronic health record systems preferred. Charting system includes Epic, Alaris, and Pyxis. No floating between units required. Weekend rotation is every third weekend. Availability for time off is approved up to 7 days; additional time requires further approval. Holiday expectations include working every other holiday. Scrub color is flexible.
