Barista/Cashier - Corporate Office Café | Location: Boise, ID 83706

Compensation: $18-$19 per hour| Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-3pm; Friday, 8am-12pm

Job Summary

As a Barista/Retail Associate , you'll provide friendly, efficient service to employees, visitors, and staff by preparing and serving coffee and beverage items. You'll also handle transactions, maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, follow food safety standards, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced setting. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to support a positive experience for all guests.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty items following established recipes and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to employees, visitors, and building staff.
• Operate a cashless point-of-sale system, accurately processing transactions through card or mobile payments.
• Maintain café cleanliness, including counters, equipment, and self-service stations.
• Restock supplies such as dairy, cups, lids, condiments, pastries, merchandise, self-serve stations and grab-and-go items throughout the day.
• Support food service operations by assisting with coffee catering services, replenishing displays, and ensuring items are properly labeled and presented.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper equipment use and food-handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent service levels.
• Communicate inventory needs and equipment issues to management promptly.

What You Will Bring

• Experience in a café, coffee shop, or customer-service environment preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting.
• Comfortable working with technology and point-of-sale systems.
• Commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and high service standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance in a corporate setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
• ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
