Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preoperative: Review patient records and imaging; Ensure readiness of equipment and implants; Assist with positioning and sterile prep
• Intraoperative: Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty; Provide retraction, suction, and exposure; Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure; Support robotic-assisted systems
• Postoperative: Apply dressings and assist with recovery; Monitor and document patient status

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Completion of RNFA program
• CNOR preferred; CRNFA preferred
• 2–3 years orthopedic OR experience
• BLS and ACLS required

Skills:

• Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures
• Experience with implant systems
• Strong teamwork and surgical skills
