Support an Autism Program at a school district in Windham County, CT for the 2026–2027 school year! Princeton Staffing Solutions is hiring multiple an onsite  Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time, 32.5-37.5 hours per week school-based W2 contract serving students in PK-12.

  • Supervision: Services provided under the direction and supervision of a qualified BCBA, BCaBA, or other authorized supervisor
  • Compensation: Customized based on experience, credentials, district budget, and hours availability. Compensation will be discussed prior to district submission.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School-Based Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavior-support services to students under the supervision of a qualified behavior analyst or other authorized supervisor.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans, skill-acquisition programs, and reinforcement strategies as written.
  • Support students in developing communication, social, academic-readiness, self-regulation, daily-living, and classroom-participation skills.
  • Collect accurate, objective data on student behavior, skill development, intervention effectiveness, and progress toward established goals.
  • Assist with preference assessments and other approved behavior-analytic procedures under appropriate supervision.
  • Use proactive strategies to reduce challenging behavior and promote safe, positive, and productive learning environments.
  • Respond to behavioral incidents according to student plans, district policies, and approved crisis-prevention or de-escalation procedures.
  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support in classrooms and other school environments, as assigned.
  • Collaborate professionally with BCBAs, teachers, special education staff, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families.
  • Communicate relevant observations, progress, and concerns promptly to the supervising clinician and educational team.
  • Support student independence and generalization of skills across people, settings, and activities.
  • Maintain accurate session notes, service logs, data records, and other required documentation.
  • Protect student confidentiality and follow FERPA, district policies, and applicable ethical requirements.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, team meetings, and professional-development activities.
  • Practice within the RBT scope of competence and immediately seek clinical direction when a situation requires assessment or modification of a treatment plan.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, human services, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Ability to meet all ongoing BACB certification, supervision, and ethics requirements.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents with autism, developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral needs, or other learning differences is preferred.
  • School-based, pediatric, ABA, special education, or behavioral-health experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data collection, reinforcement, prompting, skill acquisition, behavior-reduction procedures, and professional boundaries.
