Job Summary: Our hosts are the heartbeat of our service, ensuring every guest receives the same high-energy welcome. Hosts are the ultimate controllers of the dining room, masterfully balancing the floor plan to keep our servers in rhythm and our guests perfectly placed. Essential Job Duties:Include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Guest Greeting & Atmosphere
- Warmly welcome guests as soon as they enter the lobby and follow up as they depart to ensure they have a positive experience.
- Monitor Front-Of-House atmosphere, including lighting, music volume, and overall cleanliness, to ensure a positive first impression.
- Maintain menu presentation by keeping menus clean and sanitized.
Table Management, Flow, and Knowledge
- Control restaurant flow by strategically seating guests to reduce the number of tables servers handle simultaneously.
- Coordinate seating to ensure each guest receives an excellent service experience while maximizing dining room efficiency.
- Learn and act as a regular resource for the basic history and details about The Pollard Hotel.
- Maintains strong baseline knowledge regarding other Red Lodge Hospitality restaurants and bars to confidently guide and inform guests.
- Stay informed on current menu items, daily specials, and town events to accurately answer guest inquiries.
Operational & Team Support
- Support servers by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash liners, and bus stations.
- Protect the establishment and guests by strictly adhering to all sanitation and safety policies.
- Update job knowledge by actively participating in staff training opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
Operational Readiness
- Stay accessible via cell phone and/or email for the effective use of internal management systems, including staff scheduling and human resources applications.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as late shifts.
Valued Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
