Dining Room Manager

Compensation Pay Grade: 11; Salary: $80,168.40 - $80,500 Job Summary As a Dining Services Manager, you will manage a team of food service professionals and be responsible for the overall service in the main dining room as well as special functions for a senior living community. You will assist with maintaining interdepartmental relations and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee dining services operations of a medium to large volume location. Interact with residents and resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner. Assist with maintaining and ordering inventory. Assume responsibility for all food service-related activities, primarily involved in meal services in a seated dining room setting, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and facility-related activities. Assist with the rollout of new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams. Work with marketing and culinary departments to increase sales through innovations and food quality. Communicate with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company vision. Perform other duties as assigned. Manage food deliveries at the account, including receiving, verifying, and organizing all incoming products. Qualifications 2‑5 years of food service management experience. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations. Waiter table and catering experience is preferred. Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet. ServSafe certification is preferred. Senior living experience is a plus. Associate’s degree is preferred.
