Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Victor, NY, responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This position typically includes processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, maintains accurate financial records, and helps generate routine financial reports for management review. The individual collaborates closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide timely, reliable financial information and contribute to continuous process improvement. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and familiarity with GAAP. Candidates should possess financial reporting and analysis skills, including the ability to prepare financial statements. Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including use of spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting tools to manage and analyze financial data. Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation. Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in manufacturing, electronics, or a similar production environment is required, particularly exposure to cost accounting or inventory accounting.
