Weekend shifts assigned according to staffing needs. Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across multiple units within the hospital system. Highlights: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool role with step-down/intermediate care patient population 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility 36 hours of comprehensive orientation provided Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more May float to affiliated hospital locations within close walking distance (approximately 5-6 minutes) Requirements: Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 1 year of progressive care or step-down nursing experience Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Epic EMR experience required Proficiency in IV starts and cardiac telemetry Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing Key Skills and Competencies: Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias Central line and PICC line care/management Blood product administration and phlebotomy Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips BiPAP/CPAP and high flow nasal cannula management Arterial line management and ABG interpretation Pre/post hemodialysis and neurosurgery patient care Tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound care/wound vac IV insulin and heparin protocol management Why It's a Great Opportunity: This progressive care float pool position offers the chance to enhance your clinical skills across multiple units while caring for a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics.
