AV Commissioning Technician / Field Engineer

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour

CSAV Systems designs, installs, and supports professional AV systems for commercial, corporate, municipal, institutional, and House of Worship clients. Our work includes conference rooms, Teams Rooms, auditoriums, council chambers, classrooms, distributed AV, and larger integrated systems.

We are seeking an AV Commissioning Technician / Field Engineer who enjoys solving problems, getting systems across the finish line, and working directly with clients to make sure the final result is reliable, intuitive, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Commission and troubleshoot audio, video, control, conferencing, and networked AV systems
• Configure cameras, displays, DSPs, microphones, switchers, amplifiers, and control equipment
• Work with Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Dante, managed switches, VLANs, PoE, and AVoIP
• Support systems using Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Poly, Cisco, and similar platforms
• Resolve punch-list items, update documentation, and train clients
• Represent CSAV professionally onsite and help build strong, long-term client relationships

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial AV installation, service, commissioning, or engineering
• Good understanding of AV signal flow and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with networking, Dante, DSP, conferencing, or control systems
• Comfortable working independently and directly with clients
• Strong communication, follow-through, and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
