Clinical Pharmacist I - Per Diem - OvernightRiverside University Health System (RUHS) has a Clinical Pharmacist I - PER DIEM - Overnight opportunity with the Emergency Department Pharmacy of the main medical center campus, located in Moreno Valley CA. The Clinical Pharmacist I – Per Diem oversees pharmacy workflow to ensure accurate, timely, and safe dispensing and distribution of medications. Incumbents monitor drug therapy, adjust doses based on individual patient parameters, interface with medical staff on issues related to drug therapy, and promote the cost-effective and appropriate utilization of pharmaceuticals. This role also entails precepting within the RUHS PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy residency program.Ideal candidates will have:Completion of PG-Y2 Emergency Medicine Residency and/or hold board certification in Emergency Medicine Pharmacy.Advanced clinical knowledge of medications used in emergency care.Rapid decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.Effective communications skills.Work Schedule:12-hour shifts, 6:00 pm - 6:30am, with a minimum 3 shifts per two-week pay periodWeekends and holidays may be required for coverage.The Clinical Pharmacist I – Per Diem is a professional level classification and reports to a Supervising Clinical Pharmacist. Per Diem classifications are distinguished from regular classes in that they receive max compensation in lieu of County fringe benefits. Per Diem work assignments are flexibly scheduled or on an as-needed basis.Meet the Team!
