What You’ll Do as a CDL‑A Delivery Driver Inspect the tractor‑trailer for defects before and after each trip and submit a DOT inspection report indicating condition. Inspect the bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off‑hour delivery. Drive the tractor‑trailer to its destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering the vehicle on the road and at customer premises. Maintain a driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) in accordance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload the trailer, delivering product into the customer premises. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications You’ll Bring as a CDL‑A Teammate At least 21 years of age. Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A). At least one year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience. Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk‑rating qualifications. Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely.
