Azure Data ArchitectWe are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead discovery and assessment engagements as part of our data modernization initiatives. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Azure data services, a strategic mindset, and the ability to engage with stakeholders in a consultative manner to assess current data landscapes and define modernization roadmaps.Key Responsibilities:Discovery & Assessment:Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing data platforms, pipelines, and architectures.Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for modernization and cloud migration.Evaluate data sources, data quality, governance, and integration patterns.Architecture & Strategy:Design high-level Azure-based data architectures aligned with business goals.Recommend modernization strategies including cloud-native services, data lakehouse patterns, and real-time analytics.Define future-state architecture and migration roadmaps.Consultative Engagement:Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand strategic objectives.Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather requirements and align expectations.Present findings and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly manner.Documentation & Reporting:Create detailed assessment reports, architecture diagrams, and executive summaries.Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate proposed solutions.Required Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in Azure data services.Expertise in Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL, and related services.Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT, and data governance.Experience with assessment frameworks and tools (e.g., Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Review).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proven ability to lead discovery engagements and deliver actionable insights.Preferred Qualifications:Azure Solutions Architect or Data Engineer certification.Experience in industry-specific data modernization (e.g., healthcare, finance, manufacturing).Familiarity with Power BI, Purview, and security best practices in Azure.Soft Skills:Strategic thinker with a consultative approach.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving clarity.
