Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow detailed dietary instructions and safety protocols.
• Basic communication skills to interact respectfully with residents and team members.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or food items safely.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in food handling or dietary services.
• Experience working in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
• Knowledge of special diets such as diabetic, low sodium, or texture-modified diets.
• Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate service to elderly or disabled residents.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver meals to residents according to their specific dietary requirements and schedules.
• Assist residents with meal setup and ensure they have all necessary utensils and condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas and serving equipment in compliance with health regulations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and healthcare providers regarding resident dietary needs and any observed issues.
• Monitor and report any resident concerns or difficulties related to meal service to appropriate personnel.
