Network Engineer V

DescriptionOur large IT client is seeking an Experienced Network Engineer to support our continuous network deployment efforts and operational readiness for data center networking initiatives at the program level. The engineer will be responsible for tracking execution at a high level, handling reporting, and driving escalations to ensure that deadlines are met. You will contribute to planning and executing network builds, improving deployment consistency, and enhancing automation and process efficiency.Responsibilities for this role: Track the execution of deployment tasks, including implementation support, turn-up readiness, and validation of network changesSupport network deployment activities for data center and/or backbone networking environmentsIdentify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce risk, increase consistency, and improve delivery timelinesLeverage automation tools and scripting to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiencyContribute to continuous improvement of automation workflows, documentation, and standard operating proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure deployments align with technical requirements and timelinesMaintain clear documentation of deployment activities, issues encountered, and remediation stepsAdditional Skills & QualificationsPreferred Skills (Nice to Have):Large data center deployment experienceExperience at major tech companies (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle)Prior leadership or program management experience overseeing deployment teamsExperience with Tier 2 providers building large-scale data centersFortune 10 enterprise experience with extensive network infrastructureUnderstanding of automation tools and frameworksIdeal Candidate Profile: Experienced network engineering professional with large-scale network deployment experience and program-level leadership responsibilities.Likely Job Titles: Not Specified in Job Description.Relevant Industries: Large-scale data center environments, major technology companies, Tier 2 providers building large-scale data centers, Fortune 10 enterprises with extensive network infrastructure.Technical Expertise: Network design and deployment, data center networking, automation, scripting, orchestration, routing, switching, redundancy, troubleshooting methodologies, operational process improvement.Key Traits: Ability to identify gaps and problems, escalate appropriately, communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, understand deployment processes end to end, own and drive deliverables, manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and provide leadership.Experience LevelExpert LevelMust-Have Skills 1 Network deployment experience—deep understanding of how networksare deployed in large-scale environments 2 Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills 3 Program-level leadership and the ability to own and drivedeliverablesNice-to-have Skills 1 Understanding of automation tools and frameworks 2 Large data center deployment experience 3 Experience at major tech companies (Google, Amazon, Microsoft,Oracle)Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $130.00 - $145.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
