Registered Nurse (RN) Part Time-Days - Surgery Ambulatory Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Part Time- 24 Hours/week; Variable days Monday - Saturday. 530 - 14, open to 8/ 12/ hour shifts Highlights Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team. The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations. Requirements Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nurse Program. BSN preferred. 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required. 1 year of perioperative experience preferred. RN license required upon hire. BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly. Responsibilities Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Assesses the patient. Plans the care of the patient. Intervenes as appropriate. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. Incorporates age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information. Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
