Location Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Status Contingent | Days Schedule 10-12 hour shifts Setting 100% Inpatient Call/Weekends No call requirements; weekends required Position Overview Henry Ford Health System is seeking a contingent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology team at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. This role focuses on providing inpatient care for hospitalized neurology patients through daily rounding, comprehensive assessments, new inpatient neurology consultations, and ongoing management of acute neurologic conditions. The APP will collaborate closely with neurologists and the interdisciplinary care team to develop evidence‑based treatment plans, document clinical encounters, communicate recommendations, and facilitate safe transitions of care. The position offers 10‑12 hour shifts with weekday/weekend coverage, no call requirements, and the opportunity to practice at the top of your license with a high degree of clinical autonomy and meaningful physician collaboration. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year Neurology experience as an APP preferred NP or PA graduate from an accredited program Current (or in‑process) Michigan licensure National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA) BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire) Credentials Education & Training Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA) Nurse Practitioner (NP): Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) Licensure Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).
