Counter Sales Representative

Location: Dodge Center, MN - Retail shop Recruiter: Abby Chroniger | View email address on click.appcast.io | View phone number on click.appcast.io Counter Sales Representative Overview A Counter Sales Associate will partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. They will serve as a trusted guide, advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects. They demonstrate equipment use and share insights on product quality to help customers pioneer new solutions. Responsibilities Champion a commitment to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external partners, fostering long‑term relationships. Ensure all essential documentation is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing. Partner with customers to identify the most effective solutions and procedures for their tasks and demonstrate equipment use to build confidence. Collaborate on order entry and process transactions; support the team with smooth reconciliation of deposits. Coordinate via phone, e‑mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery. Contribute to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and collective success of the branch. Coordinate the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs. Nurture a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating collaboratively with customers, vendors, and colleagues. Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience. Collaborate on cylinder movement and pallet organization. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license to drive a company vehicle. Minimum of 2 years of product, warehouse, and/or sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate knowledge of Google and/or Microsoft Office applications. Frequent computer and telephone use; occasional use of forklift, pallet jack or other material handling equipment. Ability to regularly move up to 60 pounds; move more than 60 pounds with aid of material‑handling equipment. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to position self to stock inventory and handle cylinders. Preferred Qualifications SAP experience preferred. Forklift certification preferred. Benefits $24‑26 per hour with quarterly bonus opportunities. Monday – Friday; no weekend work. Airgas provided PPE.
