Job Title: Oracle Developer Role

Location: Chicago, IL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Client Industry: Banking Duration: 12-18 Months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM PST

Must-Have Skills

• Expert in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL (latest versions)
• Strong hands-on with performance tuning (AWR, ASH, Explain Plan, query optimization, indexing)
• Deep understanding of Oracle architecture (memory, background processes)
• Experience in data modeling (ER diagrams, normalization)
• Proficiency in TOAD / OEM or similar tools
• Solid experience with MS SQL Server
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL & PL/SQL code
• Perform database performance tuning & query optimization
• Monitor database health, capacity, and performance metrics
• Analyze AWR/ASH reports and resolve bottlenecks
• Design and maintain data models and schemas
• Collaborate with teams on database design and enhancements
• Implement indexing strategies and performance improvements
• Support automation, deployments, and production issues

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $65 - $70 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
