The Clinical Informatics Specialist assesses the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and residents while evaluating and improving clinical workflows. They lead or support the procurement, customization, implementation, management, and ongoing optimization of clinical information systems and Electronic Health Records (EHRs). The role includes collaborating on training needs, developing educational materials, and providing staff training on current and new systems. They identify and resolve system and database issues, ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards, and serve as a liaison between clinical and IT teams. The specialist provides technical support to Epic/eMerge users, prepares staff for system and process changes, and assists with annual ICF Survey readiness. They serve as a secondary trainer for Epic/eMerge, create tip sheets and user guides, and monitor EHR usage to ensure training effectiveness. Additionally, they maintain professional expertise through workshops, conferences, webinars, and other learning opportunities to support the design and improvement of facility systems and processes. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Work Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday **Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus** To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. - The Clinical Informatics Specialist must be a quick learner, have the ability to adapt to technology, good communicator, problem solver, clinical knowledge, previous or current experience using Epic or an equivalent platform.
- Ability to interpret regulations, software, applications and operate hardware for the facilities Epic use.
- The ability to work independently, and in a group in a professional manner.
- The ability to think critically and apply concepts.
- The ability to train staff and adapt the training to ensure a clear understanding of the material.
