Attorney Recruiting & Search Management

\n
• Develop and finalize search descriptions in collaboration with hiring partners for lateral associate, partner, and temporary attorney positions.
\n
• Coordinate the launch and distribution of searches internally and through external recruiting agencies, including establishing search infrastructure such as Google Drive folders, intake forms, viRecruit entries, and tracking spreadsheets.
\n
• Participate in recruiting strategy, pipeline management, and hiring discussions with the Chief Talent + Culture Officer, hiring partners, firm leadership, and recruiting agencies.
\n
• Review resumes, evaluate candidate qualifications, and assess alignment with the firm’s hiring needs and practice group priorities.
\n
• Prepare candidate presentations and supporting materials for hiring partners.
\n
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, recruiting agencies, and hiring partners throughout the recruiting process.
\n
• Manage active candidate pipelines, process submissions in viRecruit, conduct agency follow-ups, track outstanding items, and maintain accurate recruiting data, records, and reports.
\n
• Conduct first-round associate interviews and participate in candidate evaluations.
\n
• Advise hiring partners on interview feedback, candidate assessments, hiring recommendations, and next steps, and communicate decisions and updates to recruiting agencies.
\n
• Coordinate the closure of searches by updating tracking systems and intake forms, archiving search records in viRecruit, and notifying recruiting agencies.
\n

Interview Coordination & Offer Management

\n
• Oversee interview scheduling and logistics, providing direction and support to the Attorney Recruiting & Development Assistant on scheduling challenges, last-minute changes, and competing priorities.
\n
• Review recruiting communications and candidate-facing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
\n
• Draft and distribute Executive Committee memoranda supporting hiring recommendations.
\n
• Extend offers to candidates; prepare offer letters, offer packages, and benefits materials; coordinate follow-up meetings; maintain candidate files; and manage communications throughout the offer process.
\n
• Oversee conflicts and background check clearance in partnership with the General Counsel, department leaders, and Human Resources.
\n
• Oversee recruiting agency agreements and assist with contract negotiations.
\n
• Process placement invoices and maintain recruiting budget tracking, expense records, and related reporting.
\n

Attorney Onboarding & Integration

\n
• Coordinate attorney onboarding from offer acceptance through the start date, including pre-start communications, first-day logistics, office assignments, building access, technology setup, calendar coordination, and transition support.
\n
• Facilitate attorney orientation and integration by coordinating first-day training, firm-wide announcements, orientation materials, distribution list and meeting additions, firm tours, and cross-departmental introductions.
\n
• Conduct ongoing check-ins to support a smooth transition and positive integration into the firm.
\n
• Coordinate the collection of new-hire performance feedback from practice group partners following the attorney’s first three months.
\n

Recruiting Strategy, Process Improvement & Team Support

\n
• Maintain and update annual compensation and benchmarking data, conduct market research, and monitor industry trends to inform recruiting strategy and support the continued refinement of recruiting processes and policies.
\n
• Develop, document, and enhance recruiting procedures, checklists, and workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall program effectiveness.
\n
• Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting operations, strengthen candidate experience, and improve coordination among hiring partners, recruiting agencies, and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support to the Attorney Recruiting & Development Assistant to ensure effective execution of recruiting activities and consistent delivery of team priorities.
