We are looking for an experienced Test Engineering Manager with a strong background in electrical power systems testing, medium-voltage equipment, protection and control systems, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AC/DC functional testing, protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of electrical test technicians and coordinate daily testing activities.
• Maintain testing schedules in alignment with project and production requirements.
• Review project specifications, schematics, and test plans before testing begins.
• Develop, maintain, and implement electrical testing procedures, forms, and work instructions.
• Perform and oversee AC/DC functional testing of electrical power equipment and systems.
• Perform testing of protective relay panels, medium-voltage switchgear, MV breakers, and power distribution components .
• Conduct testing involving HMI components, communication systems, panel boards, automatic transfer switches, fire alarm systems, and other electrical equipment.
• Review test reports and testing schematics for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
• Ensure completed test documentation is properly maintained and uploaded to project documentation systems.
• Monitor testing progress and gather status updates from test technicians.
• Review and maintain electrical testing equipment and ensure equipment is available and properly maintained.
• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to testing and quality issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, quality, and overall process performance.
• Ensure all team members follow electrical safety procedures, testing standards, and applicable codes.
• Investigate quality failures and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe testing work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field .
• 8+ years of relevant electrical testing experience .
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC functional testing .
• Strong experience testing protection relays .
• Experience with medium-voltage (MV) switchgear and MV breakers .
• Experience with arc flash and power distribution testing .
• Previous experience leading or managing electrical test technicians .
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures .
• Knowledge of NEC and IEEE standards/codes .
• Experience reviewing electrical schematics, test plans, and test reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing protective relay panels.
• Experience with HMI and communication testing .
• Experience with panel boards and automatic transfer switches.
• Experience with fire alarm systems and other power distribution equipment.
• Experience developing testing procedures and work instructions.
• Experience with quality failure analysis and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing electrical testing equipment.
• Experience coordinating project testing schedules.
• NETA certification is a plus.
