Civil Litigation Paralegal

Job Description Well known and established mid-size Law Firm seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal, with a minimum 4 -10 years of experience in Civil Litigation. This position is working primarily in Medical Malpractice, Product Liability and Personal Injury Litigation. This person will have heavy and extensive experience in Litigation, be able to handle a case load of 50 plus cases that are in progress, and have excellent scheduling and calendaring skills. You will not be writing briefs and doing a lot of research. Your work consists mostly of case management and discovery: preparing Complaints, 16.1 Disclosures, respond and propound discovery, preparing exhibit binders and preparation for trial. Trial experience is a plus for this position. You will also be ordering, reviewing, and possibly summarizing medical records and preparing deposition summaries. Candidates should also possess the following skills: Knowledge of the Local Rules of Civil Procedure and FRCP E-filing experience in both State and Federal Trial experience is a huge plus Understand and have knowledge of calendaring and SOL’s Able to work as a team or independently Computer savvy with MS Word and preferably case management savvy Strong in the discovery process Possess excellent case management skills Have excellent time management skills Have a friendly and compassionate demeanor This is a 37.5 hour work week.
