Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical training in Quality Assurance, Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation. Experience Requirements Minimum 5-10 years of Quality Control or Mechanical Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience calibrating machine shop gauges and precision measuring equipment. Previous experience in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments required. Experience with CMMs, vision systems, profilometers, and automated inspection equipment preferred. Preferred Qualifications Programming experience with automated inspection systems, including CMMs and vision systems. Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection methodologies. Experience performing Gauge R&R studies and measurement system analysis. Technical writing experience, including quality documentation and change control processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform detailed inspection work throughout the shift. Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Strong visual acuity for precision measurements, inspections, and computer-based tasks. Comfortable working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Job Duties Program and maintain automated inspection systems, including CMMs, vision systems, and profilometers. Calibrate machine shop gauges, measuring instruments, and quality inspection equipment. Create and update measurement verification programs and quality documentation. Perform Gauge R&R studies and support process validation activities. Train employees on inspection methods, quality standards, and measurement equipment. Review engineering changes, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend new inspection technologies and equipment. Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and day-to-day quality control operations.
