Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified OR Nurse with a strong focus on orthopedic cases to provide exceptional perioperative care. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare patients for surgical procedures, ensuring all documentation and consent are complete.
• Circulate during orthopedic surgeries, including arthroscopies and total joints, as the primary nurse.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes or emergencies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain sterile field and adherence to safety protocols.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care and education.

Qualifications:

• Valid MA nursing license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, with strong orthopedic expertise.
• Proven ability to circulate orthopedic cases including arthroscopies and joint replacements.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system and Omnicell medication system is a plus.
• Ability to work day shift (4x10 hours) and adapt to holiday rotation.
