Responsibilities

The Pulmonologist performs procedures such as: Thoracentesis, Central line placement, Arterial line placements, Bronchoscopies, Bedside bronchoscopies, Intubation procedures, Patient rounding., Bedside echo, PFT interpretations. Providing inpatient consultation, available 24/7 for all inpatient care. Being reachable for consultative care at the request of a referring physician to discuss a patient's case, ensuring timely care. The Pulmonologist provides on-call services. Reviewing consults and triaging daily. Following all established medication policies and procedures. Providing discharge education and follow-up instructions coordinated with the next care setting for emergency department patients. The Pulmonologist offers post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and clinical consultation regarding complications of procedures.

Requirements

Must have successfully completed an accredited residency and fellowship program. Must have 3 years' experience as a Pulmonologist. Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of medicine. Shall Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary. Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA).
