Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Lead - Eataly Flatiron

Eataly's bustling marketplaces contain a variety of quick service counters featuring coffee and drinks, pastries and gelato, pizza and focaccia, paninis and grab-and-go meal options. The Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) Lead assists with supervising and running the day-to-day operations of the QSR counters. Reports to the QSR Assistant General Managers; supervises QSR Sales Associates and Baristas.

Responsibilities include maintaining a steady leadership presence on the floor, interacting with guests, team members and vendors to ensure Eataly's operations are running smoothly and high hospitality standards are met. The role also involves training, motivating, mentoring and organizing team members, purchasing supplies, beverages and equipment, monitoring inventory, checking orders and distributing supplies as needed throughout the department, managing transactions and ensuring accurate accounting, recording shift notes and assisting with administrative duties such as scheduling when needed, ensuring department complies with all quality, health, safety and sanitation standards, documenting, investigating and resolving guest incidents, and performing other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications include a high school graduate or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred, 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience in food service, math skills and ability to handle money accurately, strong knowledge of steps of service, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, knowledge of coffee and coffee production, and knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage preferred.

Job requirements include availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting, and ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash register.

Compensation for this role is $22-$25 per hour.
