Traffic Coordinator - Export Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Traffic Coordinator to manage export shipments from booking through vessel loading and sailing. This role ensures cargo, documentation, and operational requirements are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate export shipments from booking confirmation through vessel departure.
• Monitor terminal, documentation, VGM, DG, and special cargo cut-offs.
• Review Shipping Instructions and prepare draft and final Bills of Lading.
• Verify shipment details, including routing, vessel/voyage, cargo information, weights, container, and seal numbers.
• Prepare export manifests, cargo declarations, and special cargo documentation as required.
• Coordinate with terminals, port agents, vessel operations, customers, and freight forwarders.
• Monitor cargo receiving and loading status and resolve terminal or vessel exceptions.
• Manage rollovers, late gates, documentation discrepancies, and other shipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with customs, SOLAS/VGM, port, and internal documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update operational systems.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams regarding cut-offs, delays, documentation, and corrective actions.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in ocean freight, export operations, shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics or transportation systems.
