About the Facility

This large acute care hospital is a comprehensive medical center with a strong surgical program and access to advanced technology, including robotic surgery. The facility operates as a high-level trauma center and delivers a wide range of urologic services. Providers benefit from a collaborative care model supported by experienced medical assistants, nursing staff, and advanced practice providers. The hospital utilizes Epic EMR and offers access to multiple operating rooms across its main campus and affiliated surgical sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings

• Perform procedures including cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, prostate procedures, and vasectomy (reversal optional)

• Participate in 24-hour beeper call coverage

• Manage consults, rounding, and surgical cases as needed

• Supervise advanced practice providers

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care

• Document all patient interactions using Epic EMR

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or willingness to obtain)

• DEA and controlled substance registration required

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience

• Comfortable performing a broad range of urologic procedures

Working Hours

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM clinic schedule

• 24-hour call coverage (beeper call)

• Expected call-back volume: 2–6 hours per day

• Flexible block scheduling across June through early September

• Strong diagnostic and procedural urology expertise

• Ability to manage acute and complex cases independently

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

• Experience working with EMR systems (Epic preferred)

• Comfortable supervising APPs and collaborating with support staff

• Adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
