Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding. **POSITION SPECIFICS**A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Molecular and Precision Medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA.The successful candidate will pursue interdisciplinary research focused on: (1) Elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which distinct phagophore membrane structures regulate protein function during autophagy (Ye et al., Nature Communications, 2021, 2023; Ye et al., Communications Biology, 2024; Ye et al., Autophagy, 2024), and (2) Discovering and characterizing protein-small molecule interactions with potential therapeutic applications.Applicants must hold a PhD and demonstrate strong expertise in advanced NMR spectroscopy and protein chemistry, including molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification.
