Accounts Payable Clerk
Belton, TX | $20-$24/hr DOE | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM


Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a construction company in Belton, TX seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.


This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong QuickBooks Desktop experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval
• Enter invoices, purchase orders, and payment information into QuickBooks Desktop (Enterprise)
• Prepare and issue vendor payments via check, ACH, and other payment methods
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Generate reports and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries
• Partner with internal departments to ensure proper coding and documentation of expenses
• Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience preferred
• Required: Experience using QuickBooks Desktop
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, formulas, and spreadsheet management
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Bilingual a plus
• Construction industry experience a plus
