Job Description Position Title: Team Member Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time / Non-Exempt Reports To: Shift Lead /** Store Manager / Owner** Position Summary At Wallace Chicken, our team members are the heart of the operation. As a Team Member, you’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling our signature meals with consistency, speed, and care. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while delivering the high standards that keep guests coming back. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and assemble food items to Wallace Chicken standards Operate and troubleshoot the POS system, ensure accurate order entry, and monitor cash handling Maintain cleanliness and organization across all kitchen stations (prep, breading, fryer, assembly, etc.) Safely operate kitchen equipment including fryers, slicers, grills, and warmers Stock, rotate, and manage inventory to ensure fresh, ready-to-serve food Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks and closing/opening checklists Communicate with team members to ensure efficient service and smooth handoffs Adapt quickly to changing needs, customer orders, and rush periods Uphold all company rules, including dress code, safety standards, and behavior expectations Qualifications and Requirements Prior quick service restaurant experience a plus Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move freely around the kitchen Ability to stand, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods Basic math skills (making change, measuring ingredients, counting inventory) Able to read and follow instructions and safety guidelinesReliable and punctual with strong time management habits Clear verbal communication and a positive, respectful attitude Able to work in a team and receive constructive feedback Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Who You Are Detail-oriented and organized under pressure Dependable and consistent in performance Fast-moving, adaptable, and quick to learn Team-first mindset with strong communication skills Proud of your work and committed to food quality and guest experience Why Join Wallace Chicken Wallace Chicken is more than just a restaurant.
