• Hours/week: 36 hours/week (3 shifts)
• Employment Type: Locum, with potential to become permanent
• Licensure/Certifications: Valid Physician Assistant license in VA required
• Experience: Prior urgent care or emergency room experience preferred

What You’ll Do:

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population, birth to death
• Perform suturing, I&D, foreign body removal, minor burn management, and skin lesion care
• Stabilize orthopedic injuries, splinting, casting, and joint reduction
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including X-ray interpretation and point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose)
• Manage epistaxis with packing or cautery, cerumen impaction removal
• Support airway management with nebulizer treatments and emergency stabilization
• Document care accurately in Epic EMR system

What You Need:

• Active Physician Assistant license in Virginia
• 1+ year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred
• Strong procedural skills including suturing, I&D, splinting, and basic diagnostics
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
