Responsibilities
Sentinel is looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our Cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build hands-on experience with enterprise cybersecurity solutions in a highly collaborative Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. In this position, you will apply your knowledge in a real-world setting, helping to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including networking, systems, and support teams to strengthen and maintain the organization’s security posture. This is a full-time 3rd shift position based onsite at our office in Downers Grove, IL. The hours for this role are 11:00pm CST - 09:30am CST Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience/certifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or similar are a plus
- Experience with assisting in developing and delivering monthly security awareness communications and training
- Experience in monitoring and analyzing alerts from SIEM, EDR, and related systems to identify potential threats
- Assist with triage and escalation of security events
- Exposure to ticketing systems and basic case management workflows
- Participate in incident response activities, including documentation, evidence gathering, and reporting
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed to support incident response and critical security events.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation:
$60,000-$80,000
