Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to inmates across day and night shifts.

• Monitor vital signs, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly.

• Administer medications per physician orders and verifications.

• Implement infection control practices and safety protocols.

• Assist in triage and crisis response during medical emergencies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential inmate health records and logs.

• Collaborate with correctional staff to ensure safe, compliant care delivery.

• Participate in performance-driven metrics and contribute to care quality pipelines.

• Support professional development through mentoring and continuing education.

• Provide patient and family education within facility policies and constraints.

• Ensure on-site nursing supplies are stocked and equipment calibrated.

Experience/Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current licensure and BLS certification.

• Experience in corrections healthcare or high-security facilities preferred.

• Proficient medication administration and verification per orders.

• Ability to monitor vital signs, document changes, and escalate promptly.

• Infection control practices and safety protocol adherence.

• Crisis triage and emergency response skills within a correctional setting.

• Accurate confidential health record keeping and logs.

• Strong collaboration with correctional staff while maintaining patient safety.

• Demonstrated ability to meet performance metrics and care pipelines.

• On-site nursing supply management and equipment calibration.
