Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of strong neuro experience in a high-volume hospital environment.

Details

• Located in the Neuroscience ICU/IMCU (Unit 8AB) of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Position covers both ICU and stepdown levels of care; floating between the two units is expected
• ICU patient ratio is 1:2; stepdown patient ratio is 1:3-4
• Complex and diverse neurological and trauma patient population with high case volume and severity
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is typically not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a neuro ICU or IMCU specialty
• Proven experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments; candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered
• Background managing critical, fast-paced situations with diverse and severe cases
• Strong neuro experience must be clearly documented in work history
• Current certifications required — copies must be provided for consideration
• Active license verification required
