Job SummaryPosition Purpose: To provide each guest with excellent customer service, massages and body treatments.Essential Functions:Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude with all guests and team members.Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.Administer expert massage and body treatments for various purposes and needs and in the specific time frame given.Provide consistent professional treatments as directed in training classes and accepted certification practicesProperly care for equipment and product usedCommunicate and describe in an articulate manner the spa offeringsCompare and contrast the different services on the menuRecommend and up-sell services at the spa facility on propertyHandle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesyRespond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriatelyUnderstand the importance of and committed to continuing educationWorks unsupervised for extended period of timeUphold all protocols for set-up and cleanliness of treatment roomsUnderstand that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy appearance and a positive attitudeMaintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area. Including extensive in-between client cleaning proceduresMaintains well-maintained spa appearance, cleanliness of facility and workspaceComfortable around guests who may be in a state of undressPerform other tasks as assigned by Manager or Assistant ManagerAbility to troubleshoot and problem solve problems in fast paced environmentOther:Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of the positionDue to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facilityMust comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilityMaintains a friendly pleasant and professional demeanor and appearance at all timesAdheres to MS State Board of Massage Therapist Rules and RegulationsQualifications:Massage Therapy License or PermitAble to administer treatments to male and female guests in a professional manner.Understand and follow Blood Born Pathogen proceduresExcellent, reading writing and oral proficiency in the English languageMust be able to stand up to 9 hours per day Length of time of these tasks may varyAble to lift 15lbs occasionallyRequires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability and visual acuityMust be able to operate office equipment such as computers, online booking platforms, printer, and two way radioSummary:This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the team members occupying this position.
