Police LieutenantThe City of Chandler Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Police Lieutenant. This is a regular full-time position with benefits. Applicants must currently hold the rank of Police Sergeant or higher and have at least five years of experience at the rank of Sergeant or above. Applicants must currently serve with a law enforcement agency with 100 or more sworn personnel. The work schedule for this position is varied and may include day, middle, and nighttime work hours. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The primary function of an employee in this class is to plan, supervise and review the activities of all personnel assigned to a section of the Police Department. This position is responsible for the administration of a functional section or acts as duty commander of the Police Department. An employee in this class performs the duties of other employees in the Public Safety Department as required or as assigned by supervisory personnel. Employees may be delegated assignments in specialized areas such as field operations, neighborhood services, criminal investigations, professional standards, administration, or other assignment.Minimum qualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in a related field; and,Must currently hold the rank of Police Sergeant or above: andMust currently serve with a law enforcement agency with 100 or more sworn personnel; andMust possess an AZPOST Certification; andMust possess a valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving recordSupervisionWork is performed under the direct supervision of a Division Commander.
