Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float Pool

Location: Seattle, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights: 3-12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with strong critical care experience to join our float pool. The role requires recent ICU experience, with a focus on managing complex patient needs across various critical care units. This position demands a high level of clinical competency and teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in critical care settings including MICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, and CVICU.
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, IV infusions, and continuous sedation.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans based on patients' conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Assist in procedures such as insertion/removal of chest tubes, arterial lines, and other invasive monitoring.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have 3 years of critical care experience, with Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Recent ICU experience within the last year is required.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory; TNCC is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias is essential.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
