Class A CDL Route Driver

Job Summary A Route Driver is responsible for the operation of a grease vacuum truck to collect used cooking oil from customer locations and return to our facility in Greensboro NC. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start Time: 12:00 midnight - 2:00am. Average 40 hours per week with overtime. Vacuum Truck: 18 - 26 stops per day, average stop 20 minutes. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Pump grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; lock and secure container with screen, lid, and lock; note any damages to container or corral area; properly complete route ticket with customer signature. Required to maintain an electronic DOT log; paper log only if electronic log book is inoperable. Provide customer receipt of pick-up and obtain signature at location. Responsible for company vehicle; maintain vehicle in the cleanest possible manner; operate vehicle in accordance with company, federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operate vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observe all company safety rules. Daily pre-trip/post-trip completed as instructed. Complete vehicle condition report on a daily basis; operate under all company safety standards. Maintain excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times. Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, fuel forms, scale forms, etc.) on a daily basis. Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Must possess a valid Class A CDL, with a Tanker Endorsement. Must be registered on Preferred Qualifications Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment preferred. Experience with truck hydraulics a plus. Communicates clearly in verbal and written form. Highly organized; superior time management skills. Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations. Must have a good driving record. Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Physical Demands Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Frequently required to sit for extended periods, while driving. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally push, pull, up to 200 lbs. Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
