Job Description

This role supports the restoration of garbage trucks and cement mixers by preparing vehicles for final painting. You will use industrial sprayers and hand tools to thoroughly clean and prep trucks, working as part of a small project team in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the restoration process of garbage trucks and cement mixers from initial preparation through to pre-painting stages.
• Use industrial sprayers to wash and clean trucks, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepped for final painting.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support production and assembly tasks.
• Handle general production duties such as assembly, packaging, and basic construction-related tasks as needed.
• Operate or assist with machine operation and forklift use as required, following all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols at all times, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with small project teams to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Stand and perform physical tasks for up to 10-hour shifts in a manufacturing setting.

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• At least 6 months of experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to perform production, assembly, and general production tasks.
• Ability to operate or assist with forklift and machine operation, following safety guidelines.
• Capability to stand and perform physical work for 10-hour days.
• Comfort working with industrial sprayers and cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure vehicles are properly prepped for painting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.

• Experience in packaging and construction-related tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working in hot conditions while wearing protective gear.
• Ability to work effectively in small project teams.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a production setting.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a small, team-oriented environment focused on project-based work. You will work in close proximity to trucks and industrial equipment, using industrial sprayers, hand tools, power tools, and occasionally forklifts and other machinery. The work involves wearing a rubber suit in the washing area, which can become fairly hot during summer months. Standard attire includes jeans and steel-toed boots, with eye and ear protection required at all times. Shifts can be up to 10 hours, and the work is physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing and active participation in production tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dodge Center, MN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dodge Center,MN.
