Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float across the children's units, working night shifts in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Level IV NICU within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• Floating required across all children's units
• EMR or computer skills required

Requirements

• Active RN license (standard OK or Compact) required
• Certifications required: BLS and NRP (both from the American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Level I Trauma hospital experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring neonatal patients, administering medications, initiating and managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to care
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Advanced NRP is preferred but not required
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
