Network Engineer

Job Opening Summary Design, implement, and provide ongoing support for the UF Health network environment (local and wide area networks). Responsibilities include: Installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, performance monitoring, management and optimization to ensure stability and integrity of the data, voice, video and wireless networks; Implement network security standards and VPN solutions; Development and testing of backup and recovery procedures; Problem identification and resolution; Network conceptual and logical designs; Network documentation. Lead research, analyze and recommend standards, procedures, and new technologies to improve network availability, performance, and recovery. Assess project proposals for compliance with network standards, risk, implementation and ongoing support requirements, and ability to meet proposed timelines. May be responsible for leading projects. Team oriented with a willingness to cross train with other UF Health technical staff. On-call support responsibilities are required. Job Opening Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree in an applicable field (Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, etc.). Required Licensure/Certifications: CCNA Certification Preferred Licensure/Certifications: CCNP Certification Required Experience: 3-5 years direct network experience in a healthcare environment. Preferred Experience: 3-5 years direct network experience in a healthcare environment. Necessary Skills: Ability to work autonomously in a high production environment that can be stressful. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have basic understanding/experience relative to PC's. #J-18808-Ljbffr
