Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Nuclear Medicine TechnologistUnder minimal supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs and documents high-quality nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians. This role supports the supervisor and radiologist, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nuclear Medicine department. The ideal candidate fosters positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues while ensuring exceptional patient care and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:Perform and document nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) in a timely and accurate manner for all patient populations (infant through geriatric) as ordered by the physicianSupport the supervisor and radiologist in daily departmental operationsPromote a cooperative, team-oriented environment within the departmentUphold a high standard of patient care and safety throughout all proceduresEnsure effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and fellow employeesMaintain required documentation and compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policiesRequired Qualifications:Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Training programNational Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hireNational Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-N) upon hireCalifornia Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hireNational Provider BLS (American Heart Association) upon hirePreferred Qualifications:One year of experience using cameras/computers from the same manufacturer as at Mission HospitalExperience performing nuclear medicine procedures for infant through adult patientsIntravenous administration experience with pediatric patientsSkills and Certifications: Required:National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCBNational Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine TechnologyCalifornia Nuclear Medicine Technology CertificationNational Provider BLS (AHA)Preferred:Experience with similar nuclear medicine equipmentPediatric IV administration skillsNote: Externally hired applicants meeting all required qualifications and satisfying program conditions are eligible for a one-time $10,000 bonus.
