TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Franklin, Indiana, 46131!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in MedSurg, PCU, Telemetry, or CCU Description: Unit consists of 34 beds. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Required certifications include BLS and NIHSS. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, orthopedic surgeries, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resection, and pancreatitis. Experience in MedSurg, PCU, Telemetry, or CCU is essential. RNs are not required to titrate drips. Charge nurses are available on both shifts, with a supervisor present at night. Patient Care Technicians are available on both shifts with a maximum ratio of 1:12. Remote monitoring telemetry is utilized, and nurses are not responsible for interpretation. Shifts are from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with self-scheduling as appropriate based on census and staffing availability. Weekend rotation is required, currently 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday coverage is based on the calendar. If shifts are canceled, RNs may be placed on call with a required return time of 45 minutes after notification. Floating to other areas within the scope of practice may be necessary. Scrub color is navy blue. Unit-specific orientation consists of one shift of clinical education and two shifts with a preceptor. Charting system used is Cerner. BSN is not required. Trauma Level: Acute Care Setting.
