Zachary Piper Solutions is actively seeking engineers for our McLean, VA office.Location: McLean, VAThe impact you will have:Deliver a wide range of high‑value technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures, developing how‑to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases.Partner with Engagement Managers to scope professional services work based on customer needs and desired outcomes.Guide strategic customers through transformational big data initiatives and third‑party migrations, including end‑to‑end design, build, and deployment of advanced data and AI applications.Provide architectural guidance and hands‑on implementation support to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of Zachary Piper Solutions.Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues during customer engagements.Collaborate closely with Zachary Piper Solutions technical teams, Project Managers, Architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure all technical components are delivered effectively.Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback, resolve engagement‑specific issues, and improve the overall customer experience.What we look for:Experienced in Apache Spark (Must have)6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analyticsProficiency in Python or ScalaWorking knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep expertise in oneStrong experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and familiarity with Spark runtime internalsUnderstanding of CI/CD practices for production deploymentsWorking knowledge of MLOps concepts and workflowsExperience designing and deploying scalable, performant end‑to‑end data architecturesProven ability to deliver technical projects, manage scope, and meet timelinesStrong documentation, communication, and whiteboarding skillsExperience working directly with customers and navigating conflict or ambiguityAbility to build new technical skills that support Zachary Piper Solutions solution deployment and integrationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experienceCompensation:Salary Range: $120,000 - $225,000 based on experienceComprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, HolidayKeywords:Apache Spark, Apache, AI/ML, AI, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD, Machine Learning, Python, Scala#LI-JB1
