Information Technology AdministratorOur client, the Multi-cultural Health Evaluation Delivery System, an organization who values Flexible, Ethical, Positive Communicators, Culturally Competent, Productive, and Team Players has a need for a full-time Information Technology Administrator to support the effective, secure, and reliable operation of MHEDS' information technology systems and equipment. The position acquires, implements, configures, maintains, and supports computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment, electronic health record (EHR) technology, and related systems used throughout the organization. The IT Administrator provides technical support to employees, administers technology-related onboarding and offboarding, monitors system performance, maintains technology documentation and inventory, supports the effective operation and use of MHEDS' EHR and related applications, and assists MHEDS in evaluating and implementing technology solutions that support efficient operations and patient-centered care.Duties and Responsibilities:Acquires, installs, configures, maintains, modifies, and supports computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and related technology.Diagnoses and resolves routine hardware, software, network, connectivity, and related technology issues and coordinates or escalates more complex issues to appropriate vendors or technical resources.Performs hardware, software, and peripheral equipment upgrades and improvements to maintain current, reliable, and effective systems.Monitors system performance and identifies opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, functionality, and system capabilities.Administers the IT components of employee onboarding and offboarding, including identifying technology requirements; configuring and deploying equipment; establishing, modifying, and disabling appropriate system access; and coordinating with supervisors and other staff as necessary.Provides help desk support and specialized technical assistance to MHEDS employees and assists users in effectively utilizing organizational technology.Provides technical support and oversight related to MHEDS' electronic health record (EHR) and related applications, working with the EHR Technician, system vendors, and other internal and external resources to troubleshoot, document, escalate, and resolve system issues.Coordinates EHR system updates, configuration changes, implementations, and other technology-related modifications with appropriate internal stakeholders and external vendors.Supports effective utilization of EHR functionality, reporting tools, interfaces, and related systems to meet MHEDS' clinical, operational, and organizational needs.Maintains appropriate documentation of EHR-related projects, system issues, escalated support requests, resolutions, and significant system changes.Assists with the configuration and customization of existing applications, programs, and user interfaces to meet operational and user needs.Maintains accurate inventory and records of MHEDS technology assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, software, licenses, and other IT equipment.Creates, organizes, maintains, and updates documentation related to IT systems, processes, procedures, policies, licensing, configurations, and technology assets.Provides employees and end users with training and guidance regarding equipment, software, technology procedures, and applicable IT policies.Assists in planning, maintaining, testing, and implementing appropriate data backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures.Communicates planned technology implementations, system changes, maintenance activities, outages, and other relevant IT matters to appropriate employees and stakeholders.Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, industry practices, and technology solutions to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability, security, and system capabilities and reduce organizational vulnerabilities.Assists with implementation of appropriate information security measures and practices designed to protect MHEDS systems, devices, accounts, and information.Coordinates with third-party technology vendors and service providers as necessary to resolve issues and support MHEDS technology operations.Maintains the confidentiality and security of patient, employee, organizational, financial, operational, and other sensitive information encountered through the performance of IT responsibilities.Safety• Adheres to safety, infection control, patient confidentiality, and related policies and procedures.Company ValuesConsistent with MHEDS' values, treats all supervisors, co-workers, direct reports, patients, and any other internal or external person with respect and dignity.All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or based on the needs of the health center.Education and/or Experience:Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.Relevant technical training, certifications, and/or progressively responsible information technology experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, networking concepts, peripheral equipment, and common business technology.Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability and the ability to explain technical information clearly to nontechnical users.Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and customer-service skills.Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling system access, credentials, confidential information, and other sensitive technology matters.Experience managing information technology at a medical facility is a plusSupervisory Capacity: This position provides direct supervision to the EHR TechnicianLanguage Skills: Must be able to speak and write in English. Additional language capabilities are a plus.Physical Demands: Normal medical/administrative office setting demands include prolonged computer use; sitting, standing and walking throughout MHEDS facilities; bending, reaching and working around desks, workstations and technology equipment. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, install or relocate computers, monitors, printers and other technology equipment weighing up to approximately 30 pounds. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to drive a private vehicle as necessary to support MHEDS locations.Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in office and clinical healthcare environments and may require work at multiple MHEDS locations. The position regularly interacts with employees, technology vendors and service providers and may occasionally require work outside normal business hours to address system maintenance, outages, upgrades or other operational needs.
